I am absolutely delighted to announce that Pondoro Game Lodge was awarded as The Best International Country Hotel at a glittering awards ceremony held at the London Hilton on Park Lane on the 22nd of February 2016 during the International Hotel Awards in association with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
The International Hotel Awards are the international 5-star standard of hotel ratings. It is the ONLY organisation to provide 5-star accolades at an international level. The International Hotel Awards global competition determines the finest hotels and hospitality companies in the world. The International Hotel Awards were developed to identify, highlight and reward excellence throughout the global hospitality industry throughout a wide range of areas. In addition to categories for several types of specialty hotels and categories by hotel size, there are also categories for best hotel architecture, construction, interior design, marketing and website. The awards are split into regions covering Asia Pacific, Arabia & Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe and UK. Participants are judged by a highly experienced team of professionals who cover the whole range of hospitality disciplines. Companies selected as winners have the right to use the prestigious logo in their marketing.

The winners and runners up of the World Boutique Hotel Awards 2015 were announced on the 30th of October at the glittering Awards ceremony held at the Montcalm Hotel, London.
The ceremony brought together an array of boutique hotel owners, travel and lifestyle press and travel industry influencers from all four corners of the world, including representatives from the British Guild of Travel Writers, CNN, The Embassy of Morocco, Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, The Financial Times, Monocle magazine, The Times, Boat International, The Mail Online and hoteliers around the world.
I am elated to announce that Pondoro won a prestigious award as the World’s Best Honeymoon Boutique Hotel. This is a huge honour and I want to make use of this opportunity to thank all our loyal staff. The 9th Annual World Luxury Hotel Awards was hosted at the prestigious Harbour Grand Hong Kong on Saturday the 24th of October 2015. Pondoro Game Lodge won an award as the Best Luxury Romantic Hotel in South Africa. The World Luxury Hotel Awards are accepted as the pinnacle of achievement for Luxury Hotels worldwide.

Winner – Best Small Hotel Africa
The best hotels from 47 countries across the world have been competing to achieve one or more coveted International Hotel Awards, sponsored by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Winners initially have to prove they are the best nationally before competing against other top scoring hotels from across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Americas, Arabia, Africa and the UK.
Each entry was subject to extensive scrutiny by the International Hotel Awards’ judging panel, chaired by Sir David Michels, retired Chief Executive of the Hilton Group, who is currently President of both the Tourism Alliance and Institute of Hospitality.
On Monday evening (January 26th 2015), the winners at national level and also the ultimate World’s Best Hotel winners were revealed at a gala presentation dinner at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square. This was attended by Fred Finn, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the Most Travelled Man in the World and also the World’s Most Travelled Concorde Passenger.
