The 4 young male lions were found on the evening drive of the 14th on a buffalo kill. I saw the buffalo running from that area the previous evening, but could not find anything when I went to investigate. The next morning also did not produce anything, but that afternoon some vultures were spotted in that area and Shaun found the lions feeding on a big buffalo cow when he went to have a closer look. These 4 males are really getting big now and it is sometimes hard to imagine that they are only 3 years old.
A young male leopard killed a impala on the Olifants road and we enjoyed some fantastic sightings of him at the kill.
Elephants are also plentiful and with winter in full swing the sparcer vegetation are condusive to excellent game viewing.
