I have been away for a while and been unable to write on the blog. The sightings at Pondoro, however, did not stop and there were many highlights. 3 Young male cheetahs were seen on the 20th on a impala kill. We were also lucky enough to find a mother cheetah and 3 young cubs of only 3 months old on the Olifants road on the 3rd of July. The 4 subadult male lions were found on the 23rd of June on a big giraffe kill and we enjoyed fantastic sightings of them feeding on the carcass for the next few days. These males seem to just be following the groups of buffalo around and to kill a giraffe every now and then to provide some variety to the menu. A group of around 150 buffaloes also entered our concession area and they were seen regularly.
