A recent sighting of cheetahs suffocating an impala. The mother caught the impala just before the safari cruiser got there and she left it for her son to kill. This is an important part of their learning curve of how to hunt. Cheetahs are the fastest land mammal and can reach speeds of up to 120 km/h. The guides found the cheetahs when going to inspect the alarm calls of impala and one can still hear them barking their alarm calls in the background. Experienced guides will use sounds and tracks to lead them to interesting sightings for guests to see and experience.
