A video taken by Ranger Rul while sitting on the tracker seat in front of the safari cruiser on the 6th of February 2016. Our hyenas are habituated to vehicles and the younger ones can be very inquisitive. It is not unusual for them to approach the vehicles, sniff at them and even take an inquisitive bite as is their way of exploring and learning about the world around them. This time it was Rul’s foot and he probably had more brawn than brains, but who am I to criticize someone who has lived his whole life in the bush and have forgotten more than I will ever learn?
