Rul, one of the Pondoro guides, captured this video of a young leopard suffocating an impala on the 8th of January 2015. They were only about 2 minutes away from the camp, returning after the evening safari when they came across a small herd of impala standing in the middle of the road looking very nervous. Suspecting that there might be a predator around they stopped and switched the lights off. The next moment pandemonium broke loose as impala ran everywhere while giving alarm calls. The tracker quickly switched the spotlight back on, just in time to see this young leopard catching an impala right next to the safari cruiser.
