A video taken by Mark on the 31 of March of tiny lion cubs probably having their 1st introduction to meat at a zebra kill. We saw the lion tracks followed them a bit and then drove to a nearby drainage line where we found one lioness lying in very thick bush. We did not see any cubs but could hear them calling from some within the dense shrub.

I then went back to the tracks as my tracker Remson and I were sure that they must have killed something as the lioness was looking absolutely gorged. The presence of the cubs also meant that the mothers went to fetch the cubs and took them to a kill. We drove around the area without any luck, but as I was leaving Remson spotted a lioness lying in the bush and as we got closer lion cubs’ tiny little heads popped up all around a fresh zebra carcass. A rich reward for perseverance!
