We found a pride of 7 lions early morning on the 2nd of January 2016. They were absolutely gorged trying their best not to look too uncomfortable, but doing a bad job at it with bloating stomachs looking like giant balloons protruding from their bodies as they lay panting on their sides. Short, fast, shallow breaths not from the heat, but caused by the diaphragm struggling to work properly as it press against last nights dinner. Eventually the leader called Noengu Mafazi slowly raised herself and ambled off only to be reluctantly followed by the rest of her bloodstained pride.
