A recent video of black rhinos joining a herd of buffaloes at a waterhole to get some relief from the heat. They soon got startled by a young elephant bull who thought wiser than to disturb 2 short fused black rhinos and went to the furthest side of the water to cool himself down. Interesting behavior as elephants are normally dominant at waterholes and prefer to drink alone. It is always interesting to watch animal behavior especially interaction amongst different species. South Africa is in the midst of a severe drought as we bear the effects of El Nino with sea water temperatures in the equatorial eastern Pacific averaging 2.3 degrees Celsius above average for the 3 months from October to December 2015.
