White rhino bulls are solitary animals. Young subadult bulls, however, are often found in pairs and there seem to be a fairly strong bond. Life is tough and a brother in arms can help to make life a little easier. Rhinos are active through most of the night and when the sun warms up around 9 – 10 am their eyes seem to droop, movement becomes a lot slower with moments of inactivity as if their brains seem to just switch off. This is a sign that they will very soon go and lay down to sleep for most of the day. Sam captured this video of 2 young bulls showing a rare affection and affinity towards each other.
