As we mourn the death of the legendary elephant called Shoshangaan, life’s cycle continues with the birth of a buffalo calf. Dogged determination to survive is needed from the very first breath as this young buffalo fights to stand up while trying to take its first steps. This is only the beginning of a lifelong struggle with the first real test waiting around the corner as a severe drought ravaging throughout Southern Africa is ambushing the weak, young and old. Nature so beautiful, but also so cruel.
